Future in Translation: CITS Opens Its Doors to High School Students
As part of the Doors Open Day at Astrakhan Tatishchev State University, CITS hosted young visitors dreaming of becoming professional translators and interpreters.
Students found out what professional translators actually do on a daily basis, the essential skills required for success in this field, and the opportunities offered by studying at CITS. They were introduced to modern technologies used in translation and working with foreign texts.
Additionally, they had a chance to try out the role of interpreters themselves, listen to stories shared by our students, and ask questions directly to faculty members. They discovered that translation involves not only language proficiency but also creativity, analytical thinking, and deep cultural understanding.
We would like to thank everyone who visited CITS! We hope to see you soon among the ranks of ASU students!
