Russian DLS of MFA Expert Shares Secrets of Interpreting with CITS and FFL Staff

CITS and the Faculty of Foreign Languages staff participated in a masterclass led by Andrey Zavarukhin, Second Secretary of the Linguistic Support Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The masterclass focused on practical interpreting skills, with participants practicing the interpreting of false friends, metaphors, and idiomatic expressions. Andrey Zavarukhin also shared his experiences as an interpreter, discussing challenges he’s faced and strategies for overcoming them.

Participants praised the quality and presentation of the material. The expert’s professionalism and tact left a positive impression.
