From Graduation Thesis to the WIPO International Database
A total of 24 terms, developed in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), have been officially integrated into the WIPO Pearl international terminology database. This impressive milestone was achieved by graduating students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages alongside a CITS staff member.
The terms were meticulously researched and compiled as part of the students’ graduation theses, spanning several complex fields: shipbuilding, mining, and dentistry. Both the English terms and their exact Russian equivalents are now live in the global database.
This integration makes the research outcomes accessible to translators, industry specialists, experts, and researchers worldwide. It stands as yet another solid proof that university projects can deliver immediate practical value and become an essential part of international professional resources.
