CITS Interpreter Inspires ASU Students
The interpreter from the CITS, Dmitry Marshalkin, was the featured guest in a new interview for the project The Radiance of Caspian Science A Sea of Opportunities. In the interview, Dmitry shared his career journey, discussed the specifics of the translation profession, and explored the prospects of foreign language studies and the development of the translation industry in the Astrakhan region.
The interview was filmed by students from the Faculty of Philology and Journalism under the expert guidance of Associate Professor Olga Vorontsova from the Department of Journalism and Media Communications. This collaboration between our School and the Faculty is mutually beneficial: aspiring journalists gained hands-on experience in operating equipment and conducting interviews, while the insights shared by Dmitry provided a detailed look into one of the most fascinating fields of study linguistics.
The Caspian Higher School of Translation is always open to collaboration. Our interpreters possess a wealth of experience, gained at the most significant forums held in the region, which they eagerly share with students during CITS masterclasses. We are committed to promoting the translation profession and believe that such interviews are a powerful way to achieve this goal.
