CITS Staff and ASU Students Share Their Experience of Working with WIPO at the International Forum of Young Translators and Interpreters
On March 27-28, the students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages took part in the 9th International Scientific and Educational Forum of Young Translators and Interpreters named after Denis Polovtsev Linguistic Personality, Translation and Interpreting held at the Belarusian State University, Minsk.
During the first day of the forum, the fifth-year students Karina Abdrakhmanova, Yana Pendeleeva and Ekaterina Pakhomova under the guidance of Uliana Saveleva, Associate Professor at the Department of English Philology, Linguodidactics and Translation, CITS Director, held a round table discussion. They told about the participation in the project to replenish the WIPO Pearl terminology database, carried out in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The students shared their practical experience and results of the project, which aroused keen interest of their colleagues from other universities.
On March 28, students presented their scientific reports on current issues of translation.
Participation in the forum allowed ASU students to present the results of their scientific activities and share their experience with young translators, establish professional contacts and expand their knowledge in the field of translation.
