CITS and FFL Provide Linguistic Support for the 9th Caspian Media Forum

On August 16-17, Astrakhan hosted the 9th Caspian Media Forum, which was attended by more than 1,100 representatives of the Caspian Sea countries and the forum’s partner countries, including a delegation from Iran. The forum is of great importance not only for our region, but also for all the participating countries.

Interpreters of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation and the Faculty of Foreign Languages provided Russian-Persian interpretation throughout the whole forum.

To ensure comfortable participation of the delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, our staff provided simultaneous interpretation of the plenary session, and then accompanied the guests at various discussion sections, providing whisper and consecutive interpretation of speeches. Thus, the forum attendees were able to fully participate in the forum, discussing and proposing new ideas in the media.

Thanks to the efforts of our interpreters, the Caspian Media Forum became another important step towards strengthening international cooperation in the media of the Caspian Sea countries.
