Students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation (CITS) at Astrakhan Tatishchev State University participated in the 22nd Caspian Fashion Week, held in Astrakhan on May 15–17.
Established in 2015, Caspian Fashion Week annually gathers designers, models, and industry professionals from around the globe. For the Spring 2026 season, the event showcased collections from Russia, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Indonesia, and several other countries.
The international collaboration at the venue ran smoothly and productively, thanks to the dedicated work of ASU’s student interpreters. They accompanied foreign designers and participants, facilitating effective communication both during the runway shows and throughout the behind-the-scenes preparations.

As part of their formal internship program, CITS provided students with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in global fashion trends while gaining practical translation and interpreting experience. This project allowed the future language professionals to apply their skills in a fast-paced, real-world work environment, network within the fashion industry, and contribute to a major international event.
Over the course of the three-day event, the Fashion Week hosted nearly 50 runway shows, alongside an array of lectures, pop-up markets, and creative workshops.
The 22nd season of Caspian Fashion Week has once again cemented its status as one of Astrakhan’s most vibrant cultural highlights, seamlessly blending style, art, and cross-border cooperation.
