CITS Holds Linguistic Games

The CITS once again gathered future translation stars for its annual Linguistic Games!

Students dove into a series of challenges at interactive stations, enthusiastically translating difficult jokes and creating original versions of a commercial. The event also featured linguistic puzzles: guessing accents tested their keenness of hearing, while deciphering speedy handwriting challenged their attention to detail and ability to work with different text formats.

What did the students enjoy the most?

• Practice, practice, and more practice! Participants were able to apply their knowledge to real-life translation cases.

• The atmosphere and new connections! The event was a great opportunity to network with like-minded peers and exchange ideas.
