CITS Completes Pre-Masters Preparation Course
The Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation has successfully concluded its intensive PRE-Masters course, a true intellectual marathon for prospective applicants to the Linguistics Master’s program.
What did the course cover?
✔️ Consecutive interpreting and written translation – with no easy shortcuts.
✔️ Real-world topics, just like on the actual exam: from politics and culture to ecology and current trends.
✔️ Authentic texts instead of simplified training materials.
✔️ Extensive practice and detailed feedback.
✔️ Most importantly, understanding that translation is not about literal rewording, but about accurately conveying meaning.
The culmination of the course was a mock examination was a full-scale simulation of the real entrance tests, complete with consecutive interpreting and written translation tasks. It was challenging, but every participant rose to the occasion.
Our instructors provided personalized feedback, helping each student identify their strengths, pinpoint areas for growth, and receive actionable recommendations on how to improve before the actual exam day.
Why is this so valuable?
Because after completing PRE-Masters, our students don’t just know what to expect on the entrance exam—they know how to approach it, how to manage their efforts, and what the sound of confidence feels like in two languages at once.
