CITS Participates in the 21st International Research-to-Practice Conference

On April 14, CITS specialists took part in the 21st International Research-to-Practice Conference titled Profession-Oriented Translation: Reality and Prospects.

As part of the conference program, Uliana Saveleva, Elena Yakovleva, and Dmitrii Marshalkin delivered presentations focusing on the pressing issues of translation and interpreting in the era of digital educational transformation. Special emphasis was placed on the evolving role of the translation instructor, specifically, the shift from a traditional transmitter of knowledge to a mediator who facilitates effective intercultural dialogue and shapes modern professional competencies.

Another presentation, titled Worlds in Verse: Conceptual Landscapes of English and Persian Poetry. Aspects of Translation, explored the challenges of conveying cultural meanings, imagery systems, and artistic concepts when translating poetic texts. The authors discussed strategies for preserving the author’s original imagery and finding adequate translation solutions across distinct poetic traditions.
