Speaking the Same Language: Akhtubinsk Students Explore Interpreting at CITS
What does it take to interpret simultaneously without losing meaning? And what does it feel like to step into the role of an international professional? Students from Schools No. 3 and No. 5 in Akhtubinsk set out to find the answers during their recent visit to CITS.
The visit turned out to be much more than just an introduction, it became a true immersion into the profession. Prospective applicants saw firsthand how future translators and interpreters are trained: they explored classrooms where theory meets practice and discovered what makes student life at CITS so vibrant and engaging.
The most exciting part for the students was getting acquainted with the very heart of the profession, interpreting equipment. They didn’t just observe the booths; they experienced how challenging and at the same time fascinating this work can be.
Some students arrived with a clear intention to pursue a career in languages, while others only began to reflect on their future path. One thing is certain: after this experience, their choices became much clearer.
We look forward to welcoming the most motivated and inspired students to our community!
